Assuming a device could be invented which would identify the quantum state of matter of an individual in one location and transmit that pattern to a distant location for reassembly,

you would not have transported the individual.

어떤 사람의 양자 상태를 다른 곳에 패턴을 전송시켜 재조합하는 장치가 개발되었다고 가정해보자,

이 경우, 넌 그 사람을 옮긴 게 아니야.

 

You would have destroyed him in one location and recreated him in another.

넌 그냥 그 사람을 그 장소에서 소멸시킨 후, 다른 장소에서 새로 창조한 거야.

 

Leonard :

Personally, I would never use a transporter,

because the original Sheldon would have to be disintegrated in order to create a new Sheldon.

Leonard :

Would the new Sheldon be in any way an improvement on the old Sheldon?

Sheldon :

No, he would be exactly the same.

안 돼, 완전히 똑같은 Sheldon이야.

 

Leonard :

That is a problem.
