순진한 청년과 강도들

 

A naive young man found himself in the wrong part of town late at night, and got attacked by a gang of muggers. 

순진한 청년이 늦은 밤 잘못된 장소에 발견되어 강도들에 의해 공격을 당했다.

 

He put up a terrific fight but was eventually overcome and lay bleeding on the ground. 

그는 용감히 싸웠지만, 결국 피를 흘리며 쓰러졌다.

 

When the muggers went through his pockets, all they found was a handful of loose change.

강도가 남자의 주머니를 뒤졌을 때, 그들은 푼돈이 있다는 것을 알게 되었다.

 

"You went through all that just to protect a few coins?" they asked amazed."

"Oh I see," said the man. "For a while I thought you were after the 1,000$ hidden in my shoe."
